Anne's Video Project Outline

      • Education vs Training
        • Examples of each
  • Goals
      • Critical thinking/Decision-making
        • Examples
      • Psychomotor skills

Note: at first reading this is going to seem very light on content. However, I have done a great deal of video production over the past 20 years, and I have seen many projects which got severely pruned before they were done. Knowing this, I have started out with a more modest proposal. Also, because games are a very visual medium, it would be more useful to show examples rather than try to describe/explain them--after all, we are working with video here (the "a picture is worth a thousand words" concept applies!). Comments?

Anne,

As you suggest, the outline does seem light on content. However, having also completed some video production I can understand your point of view. It would help me understand some of your intention and the connections you wish to draw if you could elaborate some of the key points - even if those elaborations are left on the proverbial cutting room floor!

For example, while providing examples of Education vs. training will you also explore the difference between them?

Brad--but of course! The difference between education and training is huge where I sit, as most of what we do is training. It isn't just semantics, it has escalated to Holy War status several times in recent years!

I will elaborate on some of the other items in an updated post (stay tuned!). The cutting room floor (even a virtual one) can be a very cluttered place in a very short time!
